Janet Agulnik

Janet Agulnik, with over 40 years experience as an artist,
draws her desire to paint from a close communion with
nature. Bringing a gifted and sensitive view to her paintings, she
absorbs nature's changing moods and releases them back into
her paintings.

Her florals in particular are small icons, lifted from their natural
environment. They manifest the close observation found in Victorian flower
drawings, but with lush, lifelike textures and moods.

Landscapes are rich monochromatic mountain scenes, crisp winter
landscapes, and dramatic spring and summer vistas. Janet Agulnik’s talent
extends to producing custom creations to the art lover's delight!

Janet Agulnik was trained in the heart of Toronto's art world. Her strong
sense of design has evolved through completion of programs at various
workshops and institutes of art.

She has also studied with internationally acclaimed artist, lecturer
and author, Doris McCarthy, whose works are known worldwide,
and who herself studied with the Group of Seven.

A Fellow of the Ottawa Watercolor Society, Janet Agulnik’s paintings
have been shown in many group and solo exhibitions.
